I have read on another forum that while looking at the potential value of a soon-to-expire domain, you should look at not only G's cache (the more indexed/cached pages, the better), but also at the cache date. It was also specifically stated that cache shouldn't be more that 1 month old.
Is there any truth to this? If so, why?
It seems a bit to restrictive to me, particularly if there are still valid backlinks.
On the other hand, I did find some domains that have decent BLs and the cache date is 8 or so months old. It makes me wonder why G hasn't visited the site for such a long period of time. Even the crappiest of my sites get crawled once every two weeks or so.
