Pathetic. With celebrities winning lawsuit after lawsuit to get their name "back", is TDNAM going to refund purchase price when buyer is ordered to surrender domain name?

TDNAM seller policy

As per the rules outlined in the Domain Name Aftermarket Universal Terms of Service, the seller of a domain name is responsible for ensuring that a listed domain does not violate/infringe upon third-party trademarks. The Domain Name Aftermarket reserves the right to remove from its listings any domain name that is found to be in violation of the stated terms.

More bungling by the folks at TDNAM/GoDaddy.

They would not allow me to list YAHOOISMS.COM, a very common southern good ol' boy thing and a dictionary word, but they allow this type of auction?

GoDaddy TradeMark Policy

Do they not think that this decision listed below might have any bearing whatsoever on this sale?

And they are promoting and headlining her name?

Currently under contention with the URDP;

Case after case regarding a person or celebrity is being won. There has been a recent rash of lawsuits involving the soccer stars of the European leagues suing for their own name. Judges have ruled that these individuals have the exclusive rights to their name as it was "given" to them by their parents and it is their "birthright". Would be "shrewd" investors were regging names of potential stars even when they were 14, 15, 16 years old. This deprived the individual bearing the name any use of their own name.

So who or what will TDNAM/GoDaddy blame now when this comes back to bite them in the ass. I am sure they'll come out squeaky clean as it will be not their responsibility.

This just further demonstrates how irresponsible TDNAM/GoDaddy can be and will be. ICANN needs to do some serious reigning in of these registrars.

By facilitating, promoting, and advancing the auction to take place, in my opinion, puts TDNAM/GoDaddy in a very compromising position to be equally responsible to any potential or pending litigation.

Stupid is what stupid does.
