Wanabees, browsers from cellphones will want to be able to get access to the same information that was available to them at their desktop. Most of the best content is on dot com and that is not going to change.

I don't agree. When browsing on a cell phone, people will want to be able to view information quickly, at one glance....most non-mobi websites use too much graphics, and requires much scrolling and clicking of links to be user friendly on a cell.

Yes, this is a problem but you still need to website owners to offer you a different format if the existing one is no good and this can be done in a variety of different ways, none of which forcibly means that you need a dot mobi address.
