I've always wondered what would happen if some technology or application was developed that made it 'useful' for everyone to have their own domain name. With cellphones turning more and more into internet devices, it might make more sense to be able to 'call' someone using a domain instead of a phone number. It would do away with area codes and country numbers, etc. What would happen to the domain market when people want to have 'vanity' type domains for their personal communications use? That's what this article reminded me of...
