it was only time until the media picked up that google is *gasp* a corporation out to make money
 
This trademark thing is very subjective, many generic terms are trademark, even the word 'sex' is a trademark - it's basically big businesses bullying small enterprenuers. If strict trademark rules are applied, that will be the end of the parking business.
