Your kidding me right?
Everyone cries about the government listening in or peeking in and yet Google intends to send armies to infiltrate your local business establishment and take pictures and collect data that might not even be accepted or used?

Where is the ACLU on this one?
 
They just want a picture from the street of the store front and the hours of operation. You get $2 for that then if the business verifies the info online then you get the other $8.
 
a real go-getter in a mid to large size city could do quite well with this. looks like it's only in the US so far.
 
It has to be part of a plan to get mapping down to the storefront level with real imaging. Possibilities are staggering.

Edit: I just read that again. Sorry to state the obvious :D
 
Nice Idea but i think has to be worldwide, the world doesn't end there lol
