Could anybody tell me how often google crawls a site with regards to updating the page ranking?
Or is it just a random thing?

Cheers.

i read an article the other day and i think it said the google crawls the main page every 2 days and then the hole site once a month.. not sure if thats true or not ill try to find the article again and edit this post once i do.

I believe Google updates PR two times per year.

On some of the larger websites (such as this one), GoogleBot seems to be constantly crawling.

A bit gutted, as my homepage has no rank yet one of my subpages is a PR3. I have no idea why this has happened as both pages were optimized pretty much the same at the time.

I think the higher your PR is and the more often you update your page(s) the more often Googlebot will crawl your site.

I think Google crwals my website almost each day, however it depends. Sometimes it takes upto 1 week. I suppose it depends.

well i read that it crawles your website once a week but main page is crawled twice a week on smaller websites and daily on big sites
