Hello folks.. i got an email to ask me release my domain to them. (ccTLD)
This is my first time getting email regarding to TM issue.

Code:
Dear My Name,

Yes, we're understand your purchase process. Our customer has owned the
domain wanita.com.my, wanita.net.my and wanita.net for many years, and
they've trademarked the wanita.net as well as their logo.
The word "wanita" is their brand name as well representing their company.
I've also checked with the Legal Counsel of Domain Dispute,
there's a high chance my customer can get the domain back if it comes to court case but
they do not wish to go through the hassles, therefore we email to you on behalf of customer to check if there's any settlement on this.

FYI, the domain wanita.com.my and wanita.net.my has been registered since Year 1999.
Wanita.my is belongs to them before, but expired name then I register it.

Now i owned the wanita.my name & developed site. FYI "wanita" in Malay word. In English wanita = women.

Questions.
================
1. Should i release this name (wanita.my) to them?
2. Can they trademark the wanita word?
3. Should i go to the court?
4. Let me know your advice & suggestion folks. Any input really appreciate.

Sounds like you may be able to to get a sale here....unless you want to keep it.

How have you used the name thus far (anything with in their business category) ? It does not seem like they are a famous brand otherwise.

I'll keep it and I don't know their business category because their site in Mandarin Chinese language. My site in Malay language and site focus on communities for sharing recipes, article and anything about women styles.

I'd sell it back to them.

Though if they're not local in malaysia might be a bit of a stretch, if they are, you're out of luck.

Take the profit, afaik, wanita doesnt mean woman in english at least, maybe spanish.
