I am in the process of buying a domain from these guys, tradenames.com but not heard of them before

Hence checking if someone over here has done business with them and their feedback.

They ask payment before hand and it is not a Escrow transaction.

"Once your payment is verified, we will unlock domain name, issue
Domain Auth code and send you login/password to manage
domain name online. You will also be able to move domain name to your
preferred Registrar after that."

Hi, I have bought several domain names from TradeNames. No problem at all.
Normally I pay via paypal in advance and they accept paypal payment via 2Checkout service.
They did accept escrow.com in the past, you can check with them.
Good luck with your deal.
