I'm wondering if anyone is aware of any cases where people who weren't Canadian residents, or didn't have proper contact details in Canada actually lost their .ca domains because of this?

That's what everyone says, but I've never encountered any actual cases, can you name any?

I remember a TBR drop a few years ago that had a lot of good names in it, rumor was they came from a portfolio of a non-resident who had them 'taken' by CIRA.

It was someone from the U.S. - and it was a three-digit number of domains.

There have been several large drops over the years from NR's. Can't exactly tell you who they were because you would have had to know who owned which domains and with hundreds of thousands of domains registered that's a little hard.

We had contact with one gentleman who did not seek help until he was caught in a RIV and that was it for him.
