I'm wondering if people can share any experiences they've had with using a video to promote their domain names?

I made my first attempt at doing so today:

Buy the Name. Live the Dream.

Not professional, but probably not too bad? :)

I dug up an old version of Flash 5 that I had in the attic to put it together. I used a couple stock videos from iStockphoto. They cost just 5 credits apiece ($12). I had a friend do the voice overs which I recorded with my MP3 player/recorder.

The idea is great ! and your friend's voice is nice...
Why didn't you make it a little more verbose ?

Starting it by naming terms sounded a bit strange...

I was trying to highlight the different possible uses for the domain Social.com.

I suppose I could have tried more of a continuous dialog instead. Honestly it took quite a few hours to put together what you see now. I had to call it quits at some point :)

Thanks for your feedback.

Thanks.

Yes, you can buy them at iStockphoto. With my copy of Flash5 I was able to insert these video snippets into my own video production, add text, voice overs, etc.
