Hi,

I post a domain for sale and a member replied with an offer of $250. I initially declined the offer but within 36 hours i accepted his offer and sent him a PM with my paypal info. He did not respond. I sent him 2-3 more reminders but he is still not responding.
Is he bound to buy now? Do i have any right to force him to close the sale now? I need your advice.

Pls help.

thanks

you declined his offer, his obligation to complete the deal was over at that very moment.

thats right........the only way out to sell it is post it again and see if you can get someone else to offer you

I just did not decline directly, i just said that "thanks for the offer but i am looking for a bit more" thats it. Does it make any difference?

thanks for your help

IMO

That sounds like you declined the offer, it is clearly not a yes. You said you wanted more so he had no obligation to buy it from you.

Let it go. He is under no obligation whatsoever.

you turned his offer down... he has no obligation.

:yo:

Thanks for your valuable time and advice guys.

Regards

I'm agreeing with all the replies above

I also agree with the replies.

Once you provided a reason that did not accept the offer at that point, he is not no longer responsible to uphold his side.

If you had accepted the offer and then he ignored or didn't complete his side of the deal then he would be responsible.

I agree also. However, why not lower your price slightly and go back to him?

Yep, agree, the offer is now over, still you can approach that buyer and ask for a new offer.
Next time ask for a timeline from him/whoever makes an offer.

Alot can happen in 36 hours. Maybe he spent the funds on another domain or project, the important thing is give yourself options as biggedon and shenron said

in the future, rather than declining up front, if the offer is close maybe ask that person how long is their offer good for

this gives you time to consider options

Thanks for your valuable advice biggedon. I feel you have a good point and this really can make a big difference.

Thanks again
