I must be one them. I just love my daughter so much that I fuss over her too much. She's starting primary school this year and I'm more nervous while she's over the moon.

Every good parent should be obsessed with their child's safety don't you think?

If I am a "Helicopter Parent", then I know I'm doing something right. But there are limits too to which I agree can become suffocating.

Maybe this calls for a DR Phill show. If the term " Helicopter Parents " has high exposure you can just see thousands of parents typing in that term.

It's still to early to evaluate this domain name, as the term is relatively unkown. Hold on to it until this term becomes more common.

Maybe in psychology circle's its more well known. There could be a number of shrinks that have written books about this (shall I say) a condition or a behaviour. The domain name may have some value to them.

Anyway I have to hover outta here, its this condition have, I hope you understand.

Cheers

Marly

This does go very deep and would make a
good Dr. Phil segment, if it hasn't been done already!

domain name aside, as a father of two young kids,
I see myself as this type of parent sometimes, and
I see it with my kids friends parents. I know I'd never
let my kids have the same freedoms I had when I was
young. Is obsessing over one's kids safety a good thing
if it hinders their personal development?
You can't hold their hand forever, but yet you don't want
anything to harm or disappoint them. But that's also
part of life. This does go very deep and would make a
good Dr. Phil segment, if it hasn't been done already!

Get some perspective! $0
