Hi everyone, I'm Foysal, a WordPress plugin developer. I've spent the last few years building tools for site owners, and lately I've been working in the domain space after noticing a lot of investors park domains on WordPress but have no clean way to show a "for sale" landing page or collect offers.

Looking forward to learning from this community — there's clearly a lot of experience here around buying, selling, and managing domains. Happy to help with any WordPress/technical questions if they come up.

Welcome, Foysal. 👍 That sounds useful. A simple WordPress landing page with a clean offer form is probably enough for many domain sellers.
Thanks, nicenic! 👍 You're right — for a lot of sellers a clean landing page with an offer form really is all they need. The two things I see people trip on are making the offer form actually deliver (so inquiries don't get lost in spam) and getting the domain name itself to rank, so a buyer Googling it lands on the for-sale page. Beyond that, simple wins. Appreciate the welcome!

Nice! Welcome Foysal to DNForum!! Which one is your own favorite WP websites you've built? .. I have to admit, we have dropped all to WP sites that we've (I) had... one of the last ones was migrating WP Foro forum ibf.lv to Xenforo (27.be had the same story), where finally it is good.. another one - had a relativelly known free classifieds website outlived.co.uk - it was having sooo many issues, especially bloated db, that I stopped maintaining it a long while ago (currently - dead).. also had a news website on WP (#2 news website for that particular UK region) - dropped it as well, and it will come back only when I find a professional CMS for news websites

Thanks for the warm welcome, Helmuts! 🙏 And ha — I hear you on those. WordPress is great for some things and genuinely the wrong tool for others. A forum or a high-traffic news site is exactly where it tends to creak (the DB bloat you mention is real — wp_options autoload and post revisions pile up fast), so migrating ibf.lv to Xenforo sounds like the right call. Honestly I think WP's sweet spot is smaller content/brochure sites and focused single-purpose pages rather than heavy platforms.

On my end, most of my work these days is plugins rather than full sites — tools for site owners around dark mode, events, chat, and the domain-for-sale use case that got me into this space. Out of curiosity, for the news site — are you looking at something like Ghost or a headless setup, or staying with a traditional CMS?
