The best way to find end users is to search for keywords that are related to the domain. Find sites in the search results and ad results then call them about the domain.

I think you might have a tough time selling this to end users unless there are companies in the wifi pubs business.

Emails get disregarded. Search the site for the VP Marketing or Sales or CEO of a smaller company. Leave a message then send an email.

I would suggest pricing the domain. Cold calling then asking for an offer doesn't work.

This type of proactive selling is a real grind but I have had success with it if the domain is generic yet exactly right for the company because they are in that industry.

ok, i just tried this method. the ceo was 'away from his desk' (ie. Mike who? ) so i left a voicemail and sent a follow up email. one of my goals in 08 is to be more proactive, as you said.
