Not sure what your asking here.. I've never changed a .gif into a .html..

ScanSoft Paperport should allow you to extract the text
but this is nothing like you need I'm willing to bet

you need the source files to get the structure
then you can convert that to html
basically I would forget the whole idea and just copy it as best you can, starting from scratch.

Strange Question, you can open gif with notepad or an any text editor

you might be more specific , what is your problem or what is the point of converting

To embed a gif in a html page you need to do this:

<img src="path/to/filename.gif">

that's it. Good luck!
