The Herder.Org domain was registered on 17 December 1999 as a family gift and it has not been used for since that time. So, the history is clean with no complications. It is registered today at Porkbun with expiration in December of 2026. The Herding Industry is associated with many different animals. An individual, company or nonprofit may want to be identified as "The Herder." Herder is a family name with individuals living primarily in the United States and Europe. Many of those individuals use Herder as a company name.
"Herding Cats" is a common phrase applied to people who have significant organizational and management capabilities. It references people who can manage chaotic situations. In 1981 at a Mensa Convention, members wore shirts reading "Leading Mensans Is Like Herding Cats." Electronic Data Systems (EDS) founded by H. Ross Perot popularized the connection between cat herding and complex business management in a 2000 Super Bowl commercial. National Cat Herding Day is celebrated every year on 15 December.
