A retail product like Home Fashions is obviously not a good match for .org, but I took this because I discovered that it was getting some traffic - almost the same amount as the .com! HomeFashions.org with the extension gets 41 in Overture. The .com with extension gets 43.

I haven't been able to figure out why as there are no links to homefashions.org and according to the Archive Wayback Machine there was no previous site on the domain. In any case for the reg fee looks like it will be worthwhile if people are really going there. I'm putting a parking page and counter up tonite to check it out. I understand that OT can give you false information in this range, but other domains I have registered with those numbers have delivered consistent visitors.

I think it's ok, seems like a few nice " Home " .org's dropped the other day.

Looks like the traffic is real. I put a counter on it last night and people are hitting it in the numbers I expected from the OT results. Just can't figure out why they are typing one like this in with the .ORG extension. I'm already well aware of several for profit industries where .ORG is very popular - but retail isn't one of them!

I'm having a bit of a justification issue here with this one due to the "retail" nature of its being, as you've mentioned. Still, you've demonstrated established traffic. IMHO it's $125 - $175 in the wholesales/low retail range, again with the caveat that it's not a pure .ORG. Nice find, nonetheless.
Good Luck.

Why couldn't it work, if you put up a site with links yet don't charge to use your site, like a membership fee :) wouldn't it work?

You could get $ through affiliates.

Maybe I am missing something.
