I would really appreciate some honest opinions on what values the following domain names may have:

A
ArrivalTimes.com
AutoSpy.com

B
Barcoders.com

C

D
Domainster.com

E
EasyStreets.com
EcoFree.com
eClipper.com

H
HitTrain.com

I
iToons.com
Isadore.com
IndianBrave.com

J

Well, that's it.

You can see I don't have many but I have developed a strong liking for some of the names and feel I am possibly not too objective when thinking about their worth.

Thank you all very much for your time and your opinions.

easystreets.com could be a good map direction finder in the United States, like an expedia.com or something.

Oh dear, I should have expected as much.

Well, thanks anyway Doberry.

FYI - I turned down an offer of $9k on ArrivalTimes.com a while ago. (Yes, i'm kicking myself now, but hey - travel remains a big industry.)

and For My Information - what's your appraisal system based on?
(Please don't get me wrong - I appreciate your opinions even if they aren't pleasant - I just wonder what YOU go by?)

Thanks again,

Debbie

Reseller appraisals - knock them prices to the dirt, demoralize the seller, and then grab it off them while they are on the floor :D

Thanks to you also Toogoodhlth :).

It's nice to see people's opinions.

Re: TheSweetest.com

It's one of those names that I probably won't sell because I intend on having my email addresses as:

[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]

and any other sweet name I can think of.

No harm in that! :)

Re MOLE's post - yes, I try to remember that when I'm reading but I guess this part of the forum is about getting people's opinions. I just hope people will be honest rather than knocking down the prices for the reasons you stated.

Take it easy!

Not my intentions, Deb.

Im not interested in any of them. In fact, the only one I would register would be itoons.com (great name).

This is the only one that has obvious resale potential. Find the right buyer. :-)

I second mole's statement.
Isadore.com and ArrivalTimes.com are your best ones.

.

I haven't seen a lot of resellers appraising low, so they can buy low. Mostly, I have seen fair appraisals on here. Maybe you guys got swindled by this tactic...:-)

Debbie, I guess we've all kicked ourselves for turning down a high offer(s) for a domain name when prices were peaking a couple of years back.

But you're right that travel is big on the net and growing rapidly, and ArrivalTimes.com is a neat name because it isn't limited to one mode of transportation.

Would it be worth going back to whoever offered you $9k and making a counter-offer, despite the passage of time? A good name is always valuable.

Thanks Mythios. :)

Yes, I've always liked ArrivalTimes.com and Isadore.com too. Isadore gets good search results in the search engines and I like ArrivalTimes.com because it's focussed on one industry.

Mind you, I do like some of the others too for various reasons.

Thanks again.

Hi Fizz,

I would if I knew their details! :)

I can only hope they'll come looking for me one day.

It was in the old days of GD chat and I was in a PM with the person. They offered but my partner wanted more. Grrrrr.
Oh well, such is life I guess.

Deb

Except for itoons.com, I think most of those estimates are low: You can sell them for those prices but you can do that anytime. Might as well hang onto them to see if you can get more, unless you are desperate for a quick sale.

Ideas:
check http://domainsurfer.com/ for similar domains, and to see if you have the .com version when someone else has the .net or .org. If they do, see if they have a site up and see how long they have the domain registered for. They might want to buy your domain. Seems to me that someone would be willing to pay at least $100 for their first name (Isadore.com) and maybe several hundred. Check the traffic on Isadore.com. Looks like it was probably getting a fair amount of traffic there for awhile, because of a hurricane.

autospy.com could be getting a bit of traffic.

I checked 2 of your domains and you have pages up for them, so I think you probably have a better idea of what they are worth than the people who you are asking.

ArrivalTimes.com $250-500
AutoSpy.com $100
Barcoders.com $75
Domainster.com $0
EasyStreets.com $0
EcoFree.com $0
eClipper.com $0
HitTrain.com $15
iToons.com $200
Isadore.com $100
IndianBrave.com $25
Jacquiline.com $75
MasterCrafts.com $20
NYart.com $100
OpportunityShop.com $0
Rotti.com $20
SpeedyHost.com $20
StaffCard.com $20
TheSweetest.com $25
vSlots.com $200-300

I don't seem to be able to get onto domainsurfer.com for some reason - get a forbidden message. Do they block you if you don't have active-x enabled - if so why?

Thank you Jingle and Ed30. :)

I really appreciate you all taking the time out to write your thoughts.

Jingle,
I will be hanging onto these names. I already have most of them in use although they are really only used in order to give me an idea of the potential traffic and because I like to use the names I have, even if it's just for 'play-around' purposes.

I once heard that "eclipper" was the name of a boat in the America's Cup race (although that was about 2 years ago and I haven't heard anything since then about that - also a search didn't bring up anything for me re that either).

I hope the rumour was true - or if it wasn't then, maybe someone will name their boat eclipper in the future. :) You never know huh.

Take it easy,

Debbie
