So tired of the bottom feeders expecting to pick up great/good/mediocre 10 year old + domains for pennies.
Maybe I can start paying you to take a domain?
I gave one domain to a guy (It won't happen again so don't ask) - he was nickle and dimeing me to death on a frickin domain. He is a big name (for many reasons) in the domain world. I'm not.
It was priced very very cheap to begin with and he was like an old woman at a yard sale trying to get that used placemat for 24 cents instead of 25 cents.
I told him to just take it and transferred it to him.

End Users - the way to go.

You don't have to sell at bottom feeder prices, much less hand domains over for free. Just realize that this forum, just like other forums, is populated by other domainers and not end users. Therefore, pricing of domains should be more lenient.

I know i don't have to give domains away. It was a hissy fit. If he'd been here in person, and it was a tangible - i might have thrown it at him.
I don't sell to bottom feeders either, which prompted my post.

That's nonsense, Sedo does not bid on domains at the domain marketplace.

- No means Yes
- Yes means No
- Maybe is Yes

This is why I choose not be a active seller here, way to many forum members want something for nothing. I thought perhaps things may of changed, so I put up a sale thread listing names that were due to drop, they were all decent names and reasonably priced and I didn't even get a nibble, That's fine with me, I'd rather let them drop than reduce my price, When you consider the time and aggravation of dealing with people like this, it's NOT worth it, I don't need the money that badly.

Back in the day I posted names here for $200 and I ended up selling them for over $2000 to end users, It's all about how long your willing to hold onto them and wait it out.

That's the problem I think, most sellers cant wait and are looking to make any profit they can, so when they undercut the price of their domains, they create a atmosphere on the forum that attracts low ball offers.

I remember registering a dropped fishing domain. Few hours later an owner of similar sounding sporting domains made an offer. Figured its a nice easy and quick sale so I said sure. For less than a few minutes of work I was willing to do the trade. However, he started to nickle and dime and few minutes turned into even more time just answering his silly emails. After a couple of exchanges I got fed up told him the new price, about 5 times his original offer. He came back very apologetic saying he thought I was a just "flipping a domain" and not a serious business. Well, I wasn't going to let go of the name for the original offer because now I've invested time and energy into the name thanks to his constant emails. You need to teach these people that they are not playing a game and not to waste your valuable time.
