Well with the hot list pretty darn short at namewinner today it's no wonder I got outbid by someone with very deep pockets....so I'll just live with a hypenated name for $6.95.... :(

Well the best way to snipe and win at domain auctions is to actually remember to bid at the auction! :)

I totally forgot a .org today at pool. :(
Those different end times are a bit difficult to manage.

I decide how much maximum I am willing to shell out for a domain and bid that amount 1-2 minutes before close. And keep fingers crossed. Whatever the outcome , I have no regrets.

I heard that when the clock says 0 at Pool there is a minute left

Whois,

It use to say "0" minutes. Meaning the seconds were still clicking away.

Now, it says "<1 minute" ,

But, it really doesn't matter. Because, just about then, the page is
frozen - trying to reload!

It will be interesting to see how the new Pool auction will turn out.

I heard that BD hired "temps" to sit at the computer screen all day long
making sure they get the name. ( Just kidding.)
