Hello

Ok I added few days back this domain "graphictutorials.com" into my pool account(it had snap on and also bid in namewinner), so pool got it, there was an auction, and somone else won it for $60, i did not bid, someone else made the first bid, so he got it. Ok, anyway then I go back to pool account few days later and see Domains I've Won "graphictutorials.com 2003-07-15 16:00:00 $60.00 2003-07-17 14:06:55 See All Bids "
And I run a whois check and it was available and I registered it for $6.95 with my enom reseller account. It did not have snap on it anymore, but it had $26 bid in namewinner.

So how can this happen? Did they delete it?

My theory: Pool.com got the name and the winning bidder did not pay, and since there were no other bidders and you were not obligated to pay since you did not bid, they deleted the name and the fraudulent bid, so their system thinks you won the name.

That is just my theory.

It looks like it!
Any other theory?

Addendum.

If you check the winning bids, let say domainYYY.com $500, click on the domain name and you will see the real price $60????

Some of the names I have bids have multiple bids of a single ID, why he will try to outbid himelf? Something fishy going on.

I didn't bid cost the domain is not worth to register more than $100 ... what the hell ..

A user who shows up more then once in a row is a bidder who is placing bids against someone elses reserve. It works the same way Ebay does. If your reserve is $20 and I bid, $1, $5, $10, and $15 it will show me bidding 4 times in a row.

That's why I thought, but why the final price was set to the lowest bid instead of the last bid?

can you copy and paste the bids into a post so I can look at it? Remember the top bid is the proxy and not the winning price.

gins.org winning big is $115.

here's the bidding lists:
1665 $200
1663 $105
1663 $83
1664 $60

Why not $200 instead of $115?

1663 had a $105 proxy, the next bid after $105 is $115. The $200 was the proxy set by 1665.

Just one bidder for gourge.com. This confuse me, I'm not sure if Bob got it for $60. I did not bother to bid with this name.

I can't really tell ya on the gourge one without seeing the numbers next to the bids. If there was 1 bid it would look like this.

You $60.00 2003-07-16 18:09:16

Bob may have added a proxy to his bid so it made it look a little different but like I said without looking at the entire cut and paste I can't give you a better answer.

Do you understand the bidding for gins.org now?

Watcher,

I was 1663 on gins.org
And, 1665 placed a prxy bid of 200.
So, I let him have it for 115.

I have spent too much money at Pool on the past two weeks. So,
I am back to bidding cautiously.

Another question is how did you know 1665 has $200 proxy and you let him win at $115 ?

This question is asked while you're bidding on the name. not after the auction ends.
