how do i get a bad register to change

A register that i am using is really bad - it is hard to log on and now many functions do not work. As such i decided to transfer the domains but they are not approving it or responding to customer service emails. I jsut submitted a report via internic.net. Is there anything else i can do?

Do Not be ashamed to mention any problems you have with any registrar. They should be the ones ashamed of their own sloppy performance.
