Hi All,

(I posted this in "domain development" too. I hope that's okay.)

I was wondering... how can I go about contacting someone by email regarding a name I think they would be interested in... without being accused of spamming them?

For example, I’d like to take LogoStreet.com and contact about twenty webmasters who run a logo site, and see if they would like the name in addition too or to replace their existing name.

How can I write to them offering them the name without them getting upset at an uninvited email?

Thanks for any responses to this. :)

Cheers,
ezinestein

In your letter, state that they are being contacted because you feel that the domain may be on interest to them and it is a one time mailing. Sending to one person at a time is also good.

When I send such an emails, I have almost no problems. Once they reported spam to my ISP though. Once they e-mailed back with full of &^%@ words. Once they advised they are ready to buy the name for what it worth ($35 as they stated).
Yes it is good sales channel. But be ready that most of your e-mails would be ignored, many will be returned undelivered...
