How many cigarettes a day do you smoke?
How much are you paying per pack?

Just curious. I quit about 5 years ago.

I saw a huge sign yesterday advertising $4.50 per pack so that must have been a good deal. And here in North Carolina? The heart of tobacco?

I know they have been overtaxed like crazy but I had no idea they had jumped up in price like that. I don't pay attention to the prices anymore.

Believe it or not Doc, I quit when I had to hand them more than a dollar for a pack. I went to buy a pack with a dollar in hand and had to dig for a nickel. I thought that was ridiculous. Year.... 1986

I quit 2 years ago when I made the switch to snus. Used to smoke 20-25/day. I "snus" a can a day though and I love it.

In Norway a pack of cigarettes cost $10,50 on gas stations (no joke). arty:

A pack of 20 (which is standard I believe) in the UK is just under £6 I think - so just under $10.

Have never smoked, but the prices are quite prominent and all.

I guess I was a little "sticker shocked" when I saw that sign for $4.50 per pack. If that was a great price to pay then WOW! That is nearly $2 per pack higher than when I quit.

Yes, they suck. Used to have an airborne account (merged with/bought by DHL). Canceled my account after they delivered some expensive special order server parts to the wrong address.
