How much would a quality name under an extension such as .md or .ws go for?

as much as a buyer is willing to pay.
Generally, for such extensions, not much, not much at all.

for .ws/.in/ and maybe .cc, you might get an 'ok' reseller price for a strong keyword for developers.
the exception is probably .in which in the long run might have some value, but for now, any money being made (and it is being made) is because of speculation. This, can, and might, shring at any given time

It really depends on the keywords and how brandable it is. Some keywords lend themselves better to ccTLDs more than others. In general, it will be a bit tougher to brand a ccTLD, unless it is really generic - or if you are targetting the specific country.

I also agree that .in a speculative short term play, but IMHO it is a long term winner.
