Personally I've wasted $902.93 over the last 2 years combined, majority of that amount was in the former. So how much did you waste in domain names that you ended up dropping? For fun, you can post your worst 5 names here. Here are some of my "classics":

XboxLivePoints.us
Vermont.se
Appl.tv
TweetTrumps.com
SoftcoreGamer.com

and many others..

I wouldn't call it how much did you "waste" on dropped names, I would call it how much did you "invest" in dropped names this year ;)

It's funny, I actually bought the domain DroppedNames.com earlier this year and resold it later on :D

In OP's case, I would allow for the possibility that all of that money was wasted

We are all guilty of picking up a few stinkers that we realize need to be let go.

Personally, I have given up on trying to resell my .nets, and have let quite a few go this year. Add to that cheaperonlinedrugs, which I really did not mean to purchase in the first place. That is on the way out, unless anyone wants to make me an offer before this gem drops :)
