A lot of smaller resellers handle domains in a very informal way at the beginning. One client is at one registrar, another client is somewhere else, renewal dates are spread everywhere, and nobody really notices the problem until something expires or a transfer gets blocked. The issue usually isn’t lack of effort. It’s that the portfolio grows faster than the process behind it. Once that happens, domain management stops being a small admin task and becomes a real operational problem.
Would be good to hear how others here are handling client portfolios today. Are you centralizing domains early, or only fixing the structure once the workload becomes painful?
