How to edit a swf file without using complex software?

I just bought a template from templatemonster.com that has flash in it. But the words are all wrong.

Does anyone know of any idiot proof software to edit the text in the .swf file?

you need to use flash or some equivalent - theres no other way round it

dId they give you a text file with it?It should be in a notepad,or you can make text ,links and picture changes in frontpage.You should have got a html .swf and .txt with it. I think, thats how we send our designs out.If you want to change the design you have to get the fla.file

Yes ctn, there is a .fla file in the zip. Are there any members here that can make quick and simple edits to templatemonster flash templates. I'm willing to pay if its not too much, especially since the site does have its own customisation service, but it is a bit ex.

ive got flash mx on my home computer but i dont get home til friday night at 9 so if you still havent got it sorted by then email me the file with the details and ill sort you out

How much will you charge me, fonz? It's just simple text edits i.e. Domain name, slogan, and menu (there are 5 there). see image below

btw, do you know how I can activate the login and search boxes? Any scripting services you can recommend and enable?

im just a novice on flash - did it at nightschool for 12 weeks last september - but i should be able to do it no probs

i would have to look at the code for the login etc - though im guessing this is something that templatemonster hasnt set up - will involve sessions etc within the code

if you just want to change the text and links and stuff.If you have the .txt file you can do it easy with it or use frontpage..I would not mess with the .fla file unless you are wanting to change the design it self,if you do let fonz do it,but there is no need for it if you are just wanting to change the text and links and logo changes.for example here is the text file for my intro on my site
