Just copy what this guy is doing below. E-books can be a high impulse "buy" item if marketed correctly. If you know how to do something, and do it well, just set up a website, with a link for people to pay to read what you have to say. Of course you have to deliver the goods, but how hard could that be if you get 10 people a day to download something that will benefit them (10 x $10.99= $100.99--Not bad for a day's "work"). Don't make the price of your e-book very expensive, I think is the trick!

The guy is writing about how to make off the internet on a shoe-string budget!! One just needs to copy what he is doing, then do it better than him. Basically he is selling you stuff that you could get anywhere on the internet for free. The difference is how he is going about "packaging" his product and marketing it. I've always said you can sell snow to the eskimos if you make it look like gold!

FYI: I am in no way connected to this site or person. I just think it's interesting to see what other people are doing. If they appear successful at it, why not do it yourself, only do it better!!

10 Steps to E-Business on a Shoestring
If you don't already have Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader, you can download a FREE copy here. You'll find you'll use it a lot.

If you need to open the Zipped version, you'll need to install a program like WinZip. Unfortunately I can't answer questions about these tools. I just don't have the staff.

If you talk to some people they'll tell you that it'll take thousands of dollars -- paid to them, incidentally -- to set up an e-business that can make money.

I disagree. I started my own Internet business on a shoestring in 1995, and know what it takes to work with little or no hard cash. Sure, having some money to invest in design and advertising will be important at one stage, but you need to know just how to invest your precious resources to get the most bang for your buck.

In this 80-page e-book, updated to the Twenty First Century from some articles I wrote some years ago, I help you cut through the clutter and discover the key issues you need to deal with. I help you find some of the best vendors to launch or renovate e-businesses. I'll explain how you can sell products over the Internet and take credit cards for practically no money down -- with just a website and some great products or services.

Here are the 10 Steps that I detail for you:

Define a Unique E-Business Niche
Devise an Adequate Revenue Plan
Name Your Online Business
Assess Your Needs and Resources
Obtain Professional Website Design
Build the Trust Necessary for Success
Plan Low-Cost Marketing Techniques
Determine How to Receive Payments
Deliver Products and Services Efficiently
Provide Excellent Service to Your Customers

I hope you'll consider buying 10 Steps to E-Business on a Shoestring. If you want a lot of high-powered hype, don't buy this book. If you need someone to help create a Na-Na Land dream, this e-book won't help you. But if you need clear-eyed, realistic, step-by-step, no nonsense help through the complex process of developing a profitable online business -- of any kind -- then I'd like to be your guide through 10 Steps to E-Business on a Shoestring. -- Dr. Ralph F. Wilson. (Click here to learn more about me)

I agree with Turnic, most eBooks can be had for free on the net, you just have to look.

You could prob. sell Dog-Doo in a baggie online if you wanted to.

I set up a website a couple of years ago called www.MCSEFreakPress.com where I wrote 12 books to help others pass IT Certifications.

I sell quality, and my name is known in the IT certification scene.

Those are ebooks only, no hard copy books. And I sell books everyday through that site.

Bottom line: if you
1. sell quality
2. are priced right
3. know what you are talking about

then selling ebooks is a very profitable endeavor :)

Agree UnusedDomains.com ... but I am always suspisious of people selling "the method" of how to make money .... why would they just not hire people and get the economies of scale to make their millions... instead of little e-books to let other people into "their" business?

Makes ya go hhmmmm....

if it were easy we'd all do it. I happen to have taken and passed more IT tests than is healthy to do :)

I might as well leverage that knowledge and make some more cash out of it.

BTW, this website ended up paying for my current income, which is the sole income for my family of four, and we live quite comfortably... :D
