I’ve been flattered and astounded by the amount of feedback that I’ve received on the “How to Sell High Value Domains” series. Quite a number of people have asked for my help in selling their assets or they’ve expressed their appreciation that I’m willing to share so openly. I thought that I’d take a step back a little and share with you a few additional thoughts that I have on the whole sale process.
In the interests of full disclosure, it’s important that you understands where I’m coming from. I’m one of the founders of ParkLogic and we specialise in extracting all the value from domain name traffic as well as assisting domain investors in managing their domain portfolios. We provide a marketplace to field inbound enquiries but we don’t take any commissions on sales nor do we broker any domains.
Let me share with you an incident that happened earlier this year. I was recently approached by a prominent investor to help a client sell a domain name. I was intrigued enough to do a little exploration of the domain, the people themselves and the potential buyer. I soon discovered that the seller wanted to sell the domain for $250K while the buyer wouldn’t budge above $10K.
