Depends on your budget. But dont overpay for names that you buy, or you may have to hold for a while to get that same price.
 
As for LL.coms, I dont think you will be able to get them for 10K, more like 500K. There are only a few L.coms, and z.com just sold for over 6million. You might be able to buy and flip some single word names.

I am not big on the ngTLDs, but some of them may work, as long as they make sense for that ext.
 
BTW, some of the hottest domains are 4 letter.coms, and 6 number .coms in the Chinese markets.

Buy LLLL.com =6K (different quality, try to buy pronounceable)
LLLL.NET=2K (chinese premium)
NNNNNN.COM=2K (try to buy numbers without 4 or 0)
