How will you know one of you domains is stolen?

I wonder how you will know your domains are stolen.

I don't check whois for my domains often and I wonder how we will know if someone tries to steal our domains as soon as possible.

Is there any way?

Use Watch My Domains Pro.
Every 2/3 days do a full admin-mail check with this tool and you see if your admin-mail changed without permission...

As mentioned above, most registrars offer some sort of domain monitoring service (including GoDaddy, Moniker, and many others)... well worth getting just to have some peace of mind about the whois status of your portfolio - or at least the key domains.

Yes, but that wouldn't (necessarily) protect against transfer requests - which may not require a login at the current registrar...

(Although I agree, every level of security - as an option - is always welcome. Keep in mind folks, that the essential part is to do a TRA (threat & risk assessment) on your portfolio and invoke proactive defensive mechanisms as necessary...

Monitor the staus of each domain via a perl script on a unix box and email for issues.

When I read the title of this thread, I thought it was asking; How do we know the domains we already have are not stolen? Which brings me to ask this question;

If I bought a domain 2-3 years ago by private sale, and it turned out to be stolen, does the original owner still have a claim to it? or does the statute of limitations run out?
