I finally have a domain that I think is worth developing.

Luxuryleather.com It could be used to sell leather goods. If this was your name Would you even bother to develop it? Should I just hang on to it as it sits? Waht am I looking at price wise for developing this name? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Moxsum How much should I expect to pay for site set up to drop ship leather goods? Is it possible to make it a turn key type of situation?

Devildude, I Would hate to be the U.P.S. guy if they start shipping couches. :) I was thinking more towards selling smaller leather items. Maybe some nice coats, Bags, Thong's,and maybe some Gloves. I have seen ad's On TV that advertise a place Called Jennifer Leather, and I do believe that they do actually ship couches.

The Brick is a huge chain in Canada.

What your saying is almost like: Coke.com doesnt match "pop"

The Brick is very well branded here. Everyone knows about them.

I understand though, you arent from Canada, so you wouldnt know about em ;)

But thier domain name matches em perfectly.

They are mostly B&M stores.

Ahh, Thank you for the Clarification. Oh well one of the most successful record chains is called Wherehouse, and that name has nothing to do with records. I guess any name can make sense if you do it right.

Absolutly (within reason).

Although starting with a nice snappy name to begin with will help your advertising/branding costs go further, with alot of $, you cna brand almost any name to be very popular.

ebay.com, yahoo.com, google.com, amazon.com

All have nothing (little) to do with what they sell/provide. They are snappy and memorable. Therefore, imo, easily brandable.

I have an idea for a logo, and I would like an opinion on it.

What do you think about a Cow in a tux standing upright leaning on his cane.

Or A cow sitting in a nice convertable smiling?

Dumb or a good logo?
