I think this domain will only have real value as a developed (and useful) website. At the moment, as domain only, and being a .net, its value is quite low since anyone wanting a hurricane update will go for a weather site. Maybe mid $xx - hi $xx.

I think it has huge potential to amalgamate/consolidate information on a subject matter that is on course to be headline news regularly. You might start it with a discussion on global warming and the effect that has on the ferocity of hurricanes etc. The extension sits fine with me also. $200~$1200 right now (trade~end).

I like that idea, if you actually developed that one and had hurricane reports etc, would be a pretty cool site and would get alot of traffic, good luck with it.

Right now I say about 100-300, if developed in high $xxxx.

Thank-you all for your appraisals.

Unfortunately, I don't have the expertise to develop it, so I'll just have to put it back in the locker again.
