I'm not sure if this is related, but I had a name through an Enom reseller whom I know very well. The name expired but it has since been renewed showing the whois that I guess I forgot to change of the previous owner. I've never seen anything like that before and I know that the reseller did not pick up the name.

They kept jobsinnashville.com in my name for at least a year maybe even two. It just got changed to private several months ago.

In such cases - If you see dropped domain still in your name, may be you can try to transfer it to some other registrar. :)

I am pretty sure ENOM and Godaddy especially! are doing it, its unethical but not illegal it seems..there are other things about godaddy auctions and what domains are not showing up anymore in auctions, especially non english domains..

If a company has first shot at getting preimum domains and can multiply their revenue....why wouldnt they?
