I'm sure this is common, people have too many domains, and the domains aren't premium domains. This is so embarrassing.... but I own about 180 domains... :( most are worth probably 20 bucks max...with a few being worth $100 or so. How do I clean this up as quickly as possible? I only want to keep a few of these mediocre domains. I want to make "some" money for these domains, I don't expect to make a killing cuz they aren't great, but I need some money to start up a REAL portfolio of 10-20 high quality domains. What should I do to unload these? PLEASE HELP

You provided yourself your own solution. Read everything you said above over and over again. And read it again right before you register another name.

And you will be just fine.

Never register a domain name with the sole intent to unload 'em. This is one the biggest mistakes anyone can make.

Put all those domains up for sale, and don't renew them

Yeah, put them up for sale. But do not inflate the stats of your domains, or you will make enemies with other domainers.

Park them so you would know the stats of your domains, who knows some of them have good traffic.

You can create mini sites for your keyword-rich domains and earn, and then if still a flop, you can easily let it drop :D

goodluck.

A few suggestions:

- Put them up in the fixed price section at a set price each ($5? $10? etc..)
- Put them up in the offers wanted section
- Put them up in the $1 auctions subforum

I'm going though the same thing - dropping dozens of domains each month.

list them in one thread. Maybe you find a buy who is willing to buy more domains

great advice here. the forum has many resources to handle domains you don't want. you shouldn't let any drop without trying to get rid of them for something, no matter how low the amount imo

Yeah, just list them in the forum. EVEN if you don't get interest right away, you never know who will do an historical search on the forum..I listed a domain and would have sold it for like 20 bucks if someone offered at that time..I got a PM here like a year later and the person asked if I still had it and if I wanted to sell it..I ended up getting $275 bucks for it.:YaY!

HI

First you may want to get an appraisal for your domains and that will give you an idea what to ask for them in the forums.

Thx
Tom

It is a kind of lesson in domain business, IMO. We do register such domains esp if you are so excited and driven by other domain sales.

You can also consider barter. You might have something that someone else wants. You could barter the whole set of what you dont want, for one better domain that you personally see a dev for. Maybe it matches a personal interest or skill.

Kind of sucks. Right before I got onto the Forums - I had just deleted like 200 domains. Prob could have made a buck apiece off of them on this forum site.
My bad. Live and learn.
