I have a one word domain that i desperately need for the brand name of a project i am working on... its a popular word so i have opted to go for [name].uk.com backed with [name].us.com as these are my primary areas of sale and are the best of the remaining available tlds for this name...

I have found one place in the uk that regs these names for £70 each for the min 2 years but would prefer to find a lower price... (obviously)

has anyone had exposure to these ccTLD's that can point me in the right direction

thanks in advance

Ciq

.us.com would be a subdomain on a .com domain, as their is no TLD that is .us.com.

.us yes
.com yes
.co.uk yes

.us.com - no

heres an example of what i mean...

http://beyonddomains.com/

they appear under coming soon...

a site where they are in use (and for sale) is amen.uk.com

i know these are not the most desirable cctld's but for my needs they suit just fine... and i have seen a few large(ish) uk companys make the move to these domains as well recently...

.uk.com is also not a real ccTLD. This is a subdomain off the .com domain "uk".

They work, but they are someone's subdomain and not a ccTLD. If by some lame chance .uk.com is not renewed, all the subdomains under it would be lost.

maybe a rethink of my strategy is needed then...
