I hope this thread is ok in this section because it`s not totally an appraisal as I don`t want to share the name till I decide what to do.

I bought this name and I was looking to flip it but its traffic is constant, 99 % type in from USA, only few come from backlinks.

I`m terrible at developing, not very good with monetizing either and have little time, but I really would like to make an effort this time.

On top of that, 2 days ago, I got an email asking if I want to sell it and it`s not from a domainer as they have address, phone numbers and everything on their actual site which happens to have the real need for my LLL acronym....so all looks good but don`t know what price ask them because I`m undecided and would like to know some input on what range this name based on the info I wrote here could get between domainers, so once I have that figure, I can see what to ask them.

Worst case scenario, I still have the choice to develop or flip it.

This LLL was created in 1996 and received 1124 uniques in the last 28 days, so we are looking at about 40 per day, 99 % type in from the USA.

It has backlinks, but the traffic from them is minimal.

Don`t ask what is the domain because I prefer not to say it yet even to avoid pumping the views and giving me false ideas.

It`s a genuine question, hopefully I can get genuine answers.

I know what the LLL.org can go for based on letter quality but don`t know based on this traffic.

Thank you

No one can answer that question for you.
And I think you already know that, don't you?

Somehow, you should figure out...
How bad buyer want/need your domain?
Is your domain must have or just good to have for the buyer?
How much can they afford?
How urgent?

Find out as much as possible about your buyer.

I agree. If stuck on what to do, use the crazy man in the box at the top of this page (valuate.com) for some ideas comparing major extensions. (p.s. I am not a believer in computerized appraisals in general)

Depends on the three letters and what all that traffic is coming for. If the three letters were MLM, or DVD, or MMA for example, you'd have a pretty good idea what the traffic is looking for, and could build a page or site that would easily monetize that traffic. Without knowing the exact three letters, it's hard to give an answer. But if the domain has steady traffic, it is worth trying to monetize that traffic and create an ongoing revenue stream, rather than sell, unless you can get an offer way above fair value.
