Hey all,

I just wanted to inform everyone I've got my affiliate program set up for www.GamerKing.com. This is an online store selling in game currency for popular Games like: World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy XI, Everquest 1 & 2, Lineage 2 and many more MMO's.

Just a bit of info about the program:

I used to be the affiliate manager for IGE which is the industry leader in sales in this market. They pay a 10% commission to their affiliates. When I was there we had affiliates making over 20k a month JUST doing PPC engine campaigns. They never bothered putting their campaign up on forums like these that have very capable web marketers. The affiliates they have were simply gamers that saw the program and decided to give it a shot.

I am going to do something special for these forums. I am going to offer a 20% COMMISSION, that's DOUBLE what IGE offers. You can advertise ANYWAY you want, no limits. Once you sign up just email me [email protected] and let me know you came from this forum and I will adjust your commission to 20% right away.

Also, if you have any questions feel free to email me. Here's the link to sign up:
http://affiliatetracking.com/gamerking/signup

FYI - All stats are updated in real time, each sale is emailed to you and you can view your clicks and conversions in real time.

Also, for anyone that really wants to get involved I will offer my consultation. I have many years of experience and I used to make a lot from IGE's program before I managed it "part of why I ended up working for them".

For the sake of your domain and hosting, please change that to "anyway you want except spam". Affiliate spamming could get your hosting TOS'd, along with other issues.

Since I'm a sitepoint member, and this is the section to put offerings... how about we just say you're wrong on that part. Since I own the site and I'm offering CONSULTATION to people that want to get started with the program, I wouldn't call it spam. I would call it letting people know about my affiliate program via ONE post here...

Find another post to flame please. I'm letting people know about my affiliate program which is totally acceptable. I made one post and there's really NOTHING for you to be upset with, unless you're just mad at the world...

Was I flaming? Did I say I was upset? No, I was posting to assist you so you didn't have affiliates spamming. Affiliate spam can get your hosting TOS'd which would suck for you.

Of course you misread my message and became defensive.

I'll say you're wrong for saying that your affiliates can promote ANY way they want. And I'll admit that you're wrong for pointing out that I was wrong for saying this was the wrong place to post this. This IS the right forum to post affiliate info and programs.

I also didn't appreciate the PM you sent. Again I never said there was anything wrong with your post other than saying ANY way to promote.

Lastly I really don't care if you're a sitepoint member, that has nothing to do with what I said or what we were discussing.

Good luck with your affiliate program.

I agree.. you could get your site dropped by your hosting provider, and if you use big comercial hosting you could get fined.

Looks like he completely misread his post. Also looks like he thinks he is posting at sitepoint lol.

Content, DNGeeks is not calling YOU a spammer he is saying you should rephrase this sentence: "You can advertise ANYWAY you want, no limits."
I agree. SPAM is a serious problem in the affiliate industry as I am sure you know. So adding a disclaimer like "NO SPAM ALLOWED" or something would protect you.
If SPAM is allowed there are many here who could spam an affiliate link to 10 million addresses PER DAY.

I suggest re-reading and apologizing.
