On March 7-12, 2026, the it.com Domains joined the ICANN85 Community Forum in Mumbai, India. Sergey Gorbunov, Director of Registry Services, Alessandro Baruffi, Director of International Partnerships, Tess Diaz, Director of Channel Development, and Rolandas Japertas, Business Development Manager, represented the company at the event.
The forum, organized by ICANN (the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers), is the first meeting in ICANN’s annual three-meeting cycle. The six-day program included sessions for Supporting Organizations and Advisory Committees (SO/ACs), cross-community interaction, and plenary discussions on topics of broad interest to the global domain industry.
This year major areas of ICANN85 Community Forum’s discussion included preparations for the upcoming New gTLD (generic top-level domain) Round, policy development within the domain name system, and technical training sessions aimed at strengthening the infrastructure that supports the global internet.

The it.com Domains team attended sessions, cross-community meetings, and networking events throughout the forum, exchanging insights with peers and learning about policy, technical, and business developments shaping the domain ecosystem.

Visitors could learn more about the company’s domain portfolio, our Registry Service Provider (RSP) platform, and how organizations can successfully participate in the New gTLD Round.
