There were as of April 1st 2005 82,123 IDN registrations out of 352,796 at Dot JP some 23% of all registration, up from 44,423 out of 258,323 on April 1st 2004 when they represented just 17% of the total.

It will be interesting to know what the dot com figures are, as there are many more dot coms registered by the Japanese than their own dot JP.
