when someone says they want over 50 us overture, does that mean take the american version of the word and put it in overture-

so if you had business.com in chinese, they want to see what business would do in us overture, right?

You can score US overture with many foreign words.
They probably mean to put the foreign language word (unicode) into the US overture and see if it registers.

Example- try this Arabic word in the US OVT- اصالة it currently registers 909 searches per month in US OVT.

There is also OVT for many languages and scripts. There is a sticky for all Overtures, and Bid Tools here in DNForum under IDN General Discussion, sub to IDN Registration, then click top sticky listing (post by Edwin) for Overture and Bid Tools.
