I'm seeing a notable traffic increase this month [February 2007] for my entire IDN portfolio. A handful of my IDN are pulling down huge traffic individually now.

God bless IDN and IE7. ***wipes sweat from brow*** :approve:

What languages do you notice the increase in? Any indication whether this is IE7 type-in traffic or traffic from Search Engines? My Thai domains are way way up this month but I am sure it is because many finally got indexed by the SE. My Japanese continue to increase at a steady rate but again I am sure this is related to success at SE indexing versus IE7. When IE7 effect comes, I think it will be truly noticeable.

I'm seeing an increase in traffic across quite a few different languages, including German, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, French, Czech, Romanian, and Hungarian. I'm also heavily invested in city IDN's with populations of 200,000+ people.

All of the traffic is type in, as only 1 of my IDN's has been developed and picked up by the search engines.

When you say that a lot of your domains are being indexed, are these developed domains, or just setup with parking or simple landing pages? And one more question I have for you is, are your IDN'
s being indexed by Google? The one developed IDN I have isn't being touched by G, and it's been half a year since it was submitted?

No here I am talking strictly about my parked pages being indexed. Almost 100% of my asian IDN traffic is coming from search engines. I don't know whether or not google is indexing but in Japan no one cares about google anyway. Yahoo is the big boy in town still.

My domains with parking pages always seem to get filtered out of the search engines. Any trick in getting them picked up permanently and ranked?

I had amazing month to month performance gains in my Japanese IDNs. Traffic from Asia doubled. I'm still assuming this is SE related and not type-in but I would sure love to know what the exact breakdown is.

What kind of ads show up on your parked pages? Are they in the native languages, and who is the provider?

Names parked at Namedrive which uses adsense. Ads are geotargeted so of course show up in native language when such ads are available. In case of Japan, ad inventory is abundant and bids are comparable or better than US.
