I'm not angry over your comments, just think you should think before you plug .mobi all over the forum then call .ca and .us worthless.

i agree

but you and your friends always do the same about dot mobi... you are saying something which you are guilty for!!! otherwise, .ca may be a good investment.. not in my books

It doesn't take 100k to develop a website... :undecided:

oviously you have no experience what it takes to compete in the world wide web... if it was that easy to make money by developing with a budget of 100K or less... then we all would be rich.. that is not the reality

sure you can develop below 100K , your just not going to get far...

I dunno how much of the 100K for this, but.. (most would be .mobi)

I would dominate .name and swing for the long term grand-slam sleeper!

..and be known as the King of .names!

Several thousands on GTLD .name could land you some very fine keywords

..with this limited amount to spend, I'd favor this over .com prices

particularly as a long term domaining collectible investment..

..remember the money amount would go a long way in .name today for some outstanding keyword(s)

lol...

Are you saying that we all have a budget of 100k to develop???

I think you will find it costs much less to develop a successful website. ex. Whateverlife dot com.

Even if you count advertising costs it is much cheaper to develop a site especially if you know what you are doing ;)

afcassidy, I'm afraid the master himself has spoken and there is nothing we can do. If a hardened mobi devotee says that .us and .ca are worthless, why should we doubt him when he claims that "you have no experience what it takes to compete in the world wide web"? Sorry bro, thems the breaks.

the average cost for developing in toronto is 20-50K, outsourcing is high risk .. as my buddy lost 16k to some dude in texas.... so here in toronto it cost money to develop...

the question on this thread was, what would you do with 100K... i would buy LLL.coms otherwise not enough to market and develop a site for less then 100K

thats enough bashing, lets all drink to a happy new year and no picking on each other for our comments... i rest my case YOU ALL KNOW MORE THAN ME..

Hello Yelo,

I think you have to understand some extensions yield very little hope. I would put .name as one of the worse extensions of all time. Even if you had the market cornered on .name, you would lack the important pieces which include but aren't limited too; market support, public recognition, type-in traffic, market share (where does it fit), and really no declared purpose. So, you own .name whatever, what is it, why is it, what does it do that dot com doesn't why go to a .name website, any commercial value? Too many issues and not enough answers. I have yet to see even one good developed .name and I have yet to see any corporate support or advertising for the .name name space. Who, besides us in here, knows anything about .name?
I think you should stick with .com or .org, and perhaps in time .mobi might be worth something but I would stand clear of .mobi for now. Also, there many cctld's and they fit better than .name, like .tv for example.

Cheers

Paul

.ca doesnt sell.. i live in canada.. 99,8% of ads are .com in my country.. so dont try to argue with me about it.. the fact remains .ca is a waste of money just like .us
I was bashed all about when I mentioned seeing 18-wheelers on the highways here in North Carolina with the business name in .ca. I thought it was cool seeing one in use that I had never seen before. Now I am seeing more and more. Good way to build brand awareness.

sounds odd coming from a canadian, it's like the .com for canadians why wouldn't you back it?

The simple answer is:

Population of Canada : 36 million
Population of WORLD: 6+ Billion
Population of Mobile World: 1 BILLION +

Hmmmm.... if E=MC2
then........
.mobi/.com=$$$

Oh my GOD... .mobi is not the king.... .MOBI is the QUEEN

QUEEN .MOBI + KING .COM = $$$ $$$ $$$ $$$

WoW, excuse me... I need to go reg more .mobi's

TAXI

Hmm those stats seems inflated. Population of Mobile World which uses a phone with internet capability. But more to the point, percentage of users with internet capable phones which actually use the function!

You basically just proved to the whole forum that your opinions and advice about domains should be ignored...next

Sorry to go off topic, but here's some more great advice in regards to sedoz.com:
either way , your are 100% tm free dude... just because sedo claims or someone else says so... does not make it right for them to violate your rights by claiming you violated their rights... whats next i reg sedox...com and im violating their tm cause the word contains sedo.. BS if it comes to court.. they will lose

I am not convinced mobile internet is the future. Why browse the internet on such a small screen? Also if these new phones are capable of viewing normal websites, what's the big deal with .mobi ???

BTW my avatar is blanka and he will wip your ass

you didnt say : is that a CAVEMAN avatar?

its not about me or you... its about 8 - 18 year old boys and girls who disagree with your statement...

only corporations have optimized their .coms for mobiles.. what about the rest of 22 million sites? .mobi is here to stay!
