Just a specification: people ask me why the bandwidth is so low. That's because the website doesn't allow direct link of images. It was an initial choice but i've noticed views were growing fastly and then i let it disabled. You can change it whenever you want, it's just a little php code to remove.

Honestly we worked on the website without thinking about the gifs... i can't tell you if there are advantages or disadvantages, but i'm sure implementing it will be not difficult and won't have disadvantages.
