For an SEO domain, the first thing pulled up is the backlink profile itself, not the DR score, since DR is easy to inflate and doesn't tell much on its own. Referring domain quality and the organic traffic trend line come next, checking whether it's a real, steady footprint or a spike that usually points to a PBN or a pre-sale link push. Anchor text profile gets a quick look too, since an over-optimized anchor mix is a red flag no traffic number can offset.
For a non-SEO domain, none of that applies since there's no existing equity to inherit. The first thing checked there is commercial search demand for the exact term and how brandable the name actually is, since the value comes from the name itself, not from any backlink history.
