Ok, whois the wize-guy?
I was testing some software the other day, and on a lark, typed in INCAPABLE.ORG as a test name. It came back "available", and for a second, I thought it was a bug. Then, after a while I noticed it actually was *unregistered*. Spent the next half a second with that stupid "should I?" question, before snorting and going back to work.
I came across the word again today... tested... and sure enough, registered! Oddly though, registered through NameBargain, which as of today, hadn't created a Whois record (according to whois.register.com ) for the name, even though it was registered on the 13th of this month. Doesn't seem right, but oh, well. PIR has the information anyway... just seemed so odd, as I do my domain drive-by.
Noticed "Vitalism.com" was picked up at NameBargain in March of this year, yet that has a whois.register.com record on file. Makes me wonder how well Register.com's record keeping is if the registry is the only one with a public record of the domain.
