I would check the traffic before getting too excited. It's always good to cross check domain at archive.org to see what kind of site was there.
Here is a snapshot for indied.com at archive.com:
Overture Tools are also a great tool to see if a domain might receive traffic. The term undied returns zero results with and without the tld extension. That is not a good sign. Here is a link to the tools if you'd like to check. :
Usually a domain with traffic will have at least 2 or 3 of the following indicators. :
An Overture score with and without the tld ending, link popularity, and sometimes but not always an alexa rating.
Sometimes people use doorway pages and alexa considers the site the same as the doorway domain. Doorway pages may still maintain some traffic. Only parking the domain and actually checking the traffic can verify that.
That is very impressive considering all other factors. It still would be hard to appraise the name without an idea of what kind of traffic (Was the previous site sex, medical, business, sports etc.).
The origin of the traffic is also important. This is obviously link traffic. One needs to find out what links are bringing the traffic and from what countries.
I have some domains with high traffic but the link source is worthless and amounts basically to spam. ( I am not saying this is the case here. I am only trying to provide insite from examples I have learned from) I also have many foriegn traffic domains where the traffic is hard to convert by ppc
From the raw value of traffic the domain may be valued from $300-$1500 or more if the traffic remains constant and the links don't dry up. Depending on the quality of the traffic it could be worth much more. I would look at the links providing the traffic and try to figure out what people are searching for and then monetise the traffic though a ppc provider.
I am sorry for the technical answers but all these factors are important (at least to me) when trying to assign a value to a domain. I am not an expert and I am only relating information from experiences I have had in trying to evaluate my own traffic domains.
