Not sure about the exact value of the domain name, but I do think it's worth more than reg fee. I think there is a niche for this domain, a forum about influenza could very well become popular.

I own the forum Avian Flu Talk.com, and I already have the #1 search engine rankings across the board for "flu forums", "pandemic forums", etc .... So I would guess the owner won't get much for the name even on a developed site. I somewhat own that area of the net you might say. Hence my handle "pandemic". What can I say .... flu pandemics is a hobby of mine.
